Much of that education takes place in the classroom. We must encourage our youngsters in such pursuits as music education. In addition to learning the valuable lesson that it takes hard work to achieve success, no matter what the arena, music education can provide students with a strong sense of detarmination, improved communication skills, and a host of other qualities essential for successful living."

The role of the band boosters organization is to promote the band program by providing to support as requested by the band director. All parents and guardians of students enrolled in band or guard are members of the Mandarin High School Band Boosters. Community members interested in supporting the Mandarin Band can also be members by submitting a small fee. Maintain a thriving band program requires support and funding beyond that provided by the Duval County Schools.

The Mandarin High School Band Boosters organization is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), organization founded in 1991 to provide this support. Specific objectives include:




Newsletter

The Mandarin High School Band Boosters endeavors to publish a bi-monthly newsletter to keep parents and students informed of happenings of the band and the booster group. The newsletter will be sent via email and can also be viewed HERE.

Meetings

General Meetings of the Mandarin High School Band Boosters are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the band room at Mandarin High School

Board Meetings are generally held the first Monday of every month at various locations. The location will be announced prior to each meeting
